Jat Singh

Biography

Dr Jat Singh leads the Compliant and Accountable Systems research group, based in the Dept. of Computer Science & Technology, which works at the intersection of computer science and law. Jat is also Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute where he co-leads a research strand on accountability, inclusion and rights. He is active in the tech-policy space, working with government, regulators, professional bodies and third-sector organisations. Broadly, Jat’s research takes an interdisciplinary approach towards issues of governance, control, agency, accountability, security, privacy and trust regarding emerging and data-driven technologies.
